Hotel Verde Capetown, South Africa
For Africa’s greenest hotel located nearby South Africa’s Cape Town International Airport the AGO AG has successfully commissioned the energy plant. Our engineers got to work in order to develop and build a highly efficient heat pump system for heating domestic water and air conditioning. The heat pumps are connected to a huge geothermal system holding 11 km of piping and 100 boreholes.
The hot water for the hotel is stored in tanks with a capacity of 12.000 l / at 60°C, which are also heated by the heat pumps.
